Trump Has Korea Peace Plans, #PeaceMAGA gears up for Inauguration
On November 26th, Reuters reported: "President-elect Donald Trump’s team is discussing pursuing direct talks with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, hoping a fresh diplomatic push can lower the risks of armed conflict, according to two people familiar with the matter.”
The Center for Political Innovation (CPI) finds this especially inspiring, as in October, we launched the #PeaceMAGA operation, highlighting Trump’s diplomatic efforts toward the DPRK during his first term. Our operation on the streets of New York City, featuring a huge banner showing Trump and Kim shaking hands, was even noted by New Yorker magazine.
It should be noted that The Wall Street Journal has criticized Trump for continuing to boast about his efforts to improve relations with the DPRK, but this did not deter him. The report that Trump intends to continue moves toward peace on the Korean Peninsula, along with the appointments of Tulsi Gabbard and Robert Kennedy Jr. to work in his administration, is certainly inspiring. We are also optimistic about reports that Trump is working out the terms for a peace deal in Ukraine.
“We are not expecting the next four years to be easy,” Caleb Maupin told CPI members at a recent meeting. “It’s going to be an uphill battle. We are going to have to do everything we can to push Trump to enact a pro-American and pro-working families agenda, despite being surrounded by Neocons, globalists, and free-marketeers.”
CPI is planning to be present at the inauguration on January 20th in Washington, D.C., to support Trump and do outreach to his supporters about anti-imperialism. Additionally, we plan to hold an event that evening featuring speeches, music, and food.
